What is it?
A multi-function device, with the ability to print, scan and copy documents and photos. (Unlike some, it doesn’t offer fax or a document feeder; meh.)
How much does it cost?
Around $/£150. (Ripoff Britain! etc.)
Why did I buy it?
It’s the first MFD that does everything I want. It has duplex, Wi-Fi, Canon’s neat dual paper source system, separate, reasonably-priced ink tanks – indeed, a separate, replaceable print head – the ability to print onto CDs and, not least, superb print quality. If you’re running Mac OS X 10.6, you’ll need this guide to getting it to work, albeit with the handy bonus of being crapware-free.
Where can you get it?
Try Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk. Or, indeed, pretty much any store.
